Visuospatial abilities help you make quick, accurate estimates of distances, volumes and area. More complex than simple perception, these are quickly corroded by age. Here’s how you keep them tip-top: When you visit a new place and return home, draw a quick map from memory of the route you took. Examine an object, like a paperweight, and try to estimate it’s thickness. Try to guess the number of pages in a book. When you walk into a room full of people, try to guess the number of people in the right side of the room and those in the left
